FOOTBALL 🏈

Aside from Quince Orchard’s victory, No. 2-seed Churchill had a successful contest on the opposite side of the 4A state bracket. It routed conference foe Blair 42-7 Friday. The Bulldogs hadn’t played Blair yet this season, and its only previous loss came at the hands of none other than Quince Orchard, which defeated it 34-13 on Oct. 3.

In the 4A/3A bracket, No. 1-seed Sherwood is the lone team still churning from Montgomery County. In its opening game of the states, it took down No. 8-seed North Point, 19-7. During the regular season, it gave Quince Orchard arguably the biggest run for its money, but still fell, 35-28.
