BOYS SOCCER
The regular season is over for Montgomery County Boys’ Soccer.
Winston Churchill had great success during the regular season across the board in soccer. Both their boys’ and girls’ teams have been wildly successful in 2026. Boys’ head coach Stephen Hauschild spoke about the team’s mindset going into every game this season.
“The message before every game is the same. ‘Control what you can control and focus on doing the little things right. Connect passes, move off the ball, play quick. Defensively - get organized when we lose it, work hard, step together. Most importantly, have fun,’” Hauschild said.
Both teams support each other, attending the other team’s matches whenever they can. The boys’ team capped off an 11-2 overall season with a 3-0 victory over Blair. All season long, it has been Tobi Falayi and Santino Di Laudo leading the way.
Clarksburg and Walter Johnson came up a close second and third on the boys’ side. The Wildcats won each of their last six games, which puts momentum on their side as the regional tournaments are coming up fast.
