TENNIS 🎾
Maryland’s high school state championship tennis matches have had no shortage of reschedulings in the last few days. Originally, all matches were set to be played at the Wilde Lake Tennis Club. The 3A and 4A state quarterfinals and semifinals were taking place on May 21, the 1A and 2A quarterfinals and semifinals were set for May 22, with all state championships and consolation games on May 23.
After last week’s weather, all 1A and 2A events, including the quarters, semis, championships, and consolation games will be played May 25. The 3A and 4A championship and consolation games will also be played on May 25 with matches beginning at 9:00 a.m. Monday’s activity will not be split between the Wilde Lake Tennis Club, the Indoor Courts at Long Reach, along with River Hill and Howard High Schools. What happens when you throw out the GTM playbook
That investor was wrong. Gamma is now worth $2B, with 50M users and more than half their growth driven by word of mouth.
They're one of 6 AI-native startups in HubSpot for Startups' free Bold Bets Playbook. Replit grew revenue 50x after half the team pushed back on the strategy. Ramp generated 100M+ views from a single stunt. Clay's co-founder wouldn't hang up a sales call until the prospect DMed him in Slack.
Each one took a GTM risk most founders would never greenlight. Each one paid off.
SOFTBALL 🥎
In Tuesday’s semifinal round, the final Montgomery County softball team was eliminated. Richard Montgomery, the six seed in the 4A bracket, lost to two-seeded Broadneck 7-0. This means that Sherwood’s win in 2024 will remain the most recent softball state champion from MCPS. The 2026 state championships were originally scheduled for May 22-23, but have been moved to May 25 due to weather over the weekend. Stay tuned to CSZ for updates on the action set to start at 10:00 a.m. on Memorial Day.
